Protect Our Oceans: Ride the Cape Cod Bus to February 27 Rally & US Bureau
of Ocean Energy Management Meeting
350 Mass Cape Cod and the Massachusetts Sierra Club's Cape Cod Group are
organizing a bus to the US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) meeting
in Boston on February 27 to help local residents and business owners join
together in registering opinions on the Trump Administration's proposal to
open up waters off the coast of Massachusetts to offshore oil and gas
extraction. 
The bus will arrive at the Sheraton Boston in advance of 3 pm rally
featuring speakers from across the state and held in solidarity with similar
events across the country. Riders also will have the opportunity to voice
their opinions to BOEM officials before returning to the Cape. Round-trip
tickets are $25 and can be purchased in advance at

Three pickup/dropoff locations are planned: 11:15 am from the Harwich
park-and-ride at the Rte. 6/124 interchange (Exit 10); 12:00 pm from the
Hyannis park-and-ride at the Rte. 6/132 interchange (Exit 6); and 12:45 pm
from the Sagamore park-and-ride at the Rte. 6/3 interchange. The bus will
leave Boston at 5:30 pm for return to the Cape. (Times are subject to
change.) 
Individuals interested in making the trip but concerned about the cost are
encouraged to inquire about donated tickets.
