How far do white sharks travel? What kind of seal has only a four day
nursing period? Why are sharks and seals in Cape Cod Bay?
Learn the answers to these questions and more at "Sharks & Seals -
Mythbusting our Fears." Hosted by Atlantic White Shark Conservancy and
National Marine Life Center, this exciting talk explores the science of
sharks and seals. You'll learn about cutting edge research happening
right here on Cape Cod as you discover the importance of these apex
predators in our local ecosystem.
FEATURING:
~ Dr. Greg Skomal of the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries, the
leading expert on white sharks in the Northwest Atlantic; and
~ Dr. Andrea Bogomolni of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, a
specialist in seal biology whose research focuses on how environmental
stressors affect health.
