JAM MAKING WORKSHOPS AT GREEN BRIAR

Jam making workshops in the historic Green Briar Jam Kitchen in East
Sandwich offer a different and fun experience during these summer days on
Cape Cod.  Join in a class and make something special to take home and enjoy
or give as a gift. Workshops for adults are scheduled on most Wednesday
evenings from 6pm to 8pm and Saturday mornings from 9:30am to 11:30am.  July
6 or July 9 make rhubarb orange jam;  July 13 or July 16 choose blueberry
jam or blueberry peach jam; July 20 or July 23 choose strawberry jam or
strawberry peach jam; July 27 or July 30 choose blueberry pineapple jam or
blueberry rhubarb jam. Family workshops, which include one adult and one
child, are offered on Saturday afternoons from 4pm-6pm.  Children must be
six years old to participate in the following:  July 9 make rhubarb orange
jam; July 16 choose blueberry jam or blueberry peach jam; July 23 choose
strawberry jam or strawberry peach jam; July 30 choose blueberry pineapple
jam or blueberry rhubarb jam. The fee per workshop is $35 for members of the
Thornton W. Burgess Society, $45 for non-members.  The fee includes one
adult and one child in the family classes.  All materials and instruction
are provided, and participants can expect to take home 4 to 6 jars of
finished product.  Advance registration is required by calling 508-888-6870.
