A Special Notice on Front Entrance Construction
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 6, 2010

October through December the front entrance of the Cape Cod Museum of
Natural History will be undergoing construction, causing limited
accessibility for wheelchairs, strollers and any visitor unable to walk up a
flight of stairs. We are sorry for the inconvenience and offer free
admission to the downstairs portion of the Museum to those affected.
Route 6A between the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History and Luke's Plaza
will also undergo construction starting on October 12 through November 19.
The Town of Brewster and The Brewster Chamber of Commerce have provided this
update:
"The plan directs traffic off of Rte. 6A East at A.P. Newcomb Road up to
Satucket Road and then down Paine's Creek Road, intersecting back at Rte.
6A. The Town has spent much of the summer making improvements to these local
roads, including removing line-of-site obstructions and patching pot-holes.
The Town will also be providing temporary signs placed at Rte. 6A and detour
intersections to announce that businesses up ahead are open, and police
details will be used to help direct traffic and assure safety. Thanks to
funds built into the construction grant, the Chamber has produced a rack
card brochure and is placing advertising to keep the public informed about
getting to the businesses in the affected area."
A copy of the rack card and map of the affected areas can be accessed online
at http://www.brewstercapecod.org/documents/culvertcard9.4.pdf.
Again, we apologize for all the inconveniences that have come at one time
but look forward to showing everyone our changes when completed.
