Debunking the Myths of Maligned Creatures
Chapter 1: Bat Detectors!
Souls of the dead? Flying mice? Mass Audubon's own "Bat Man," Mark
Faherty, will use technology to detect bats in the darkness and present
the truth about these remarkable creatures so long reviled and linked to
vampires.

Chapter 2: Web Masters
A malicious curse with its slow killing venom or simply misunderstood?
Chris Leahy, Gerard A. Bertrand Chair of Natural History and Field
Ornithology at Mass Audubon, dispels arachnophobia and inspires
fascination as he reveals the many adaptations and species of spiders.

Barnstable. Trails are open daily dawn to dusk. Sanctuary admission is
