[SEMCO] Marine Art Contest for Grades K-12

A Marine Art Contest for grades K-12 is now underway -- theme is 
"Amazing Ocean Creatures of Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary 
and the Gulf of Maine."  The contest has five division: 1) grades K-4; 
2) grades 5-8; 3) grades 9-12; 4) computer graphics (all ages); and 5) 
scientific illustration (all ages).  Deadline is April 1, 2009.

Massachusetts Marine Educators, Stellwagen Bank National Marine 
Sanctuary, New England Aquarium, Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, 
Stellwagen Alive, and Blue Bunny Bookstore are co-sponsors.  Prizes 
include cash, gift certificates, passes to the New England Aquarium and 
Harvard Museum of Natural History, and certificates.

There is no cost to enter.  The contest is open to all students -- 
submissions may be made by individual students, teachers/schools with 
multiple entries, homeschoolers, and afterschool programs.
