Waquoit Bay Reserve teams up with CHAMP Homes for annual Earth Day
Coffee House.

The Waquoit Bay Reserve's annual Earth Day Coffee House celebrates
spring and a new partnership with CHAMP Homes this year. Join us
Saturday, April 25th, to celebrate Earth Day with musical performances
by singer-songwriters John and Rachel Nicholas, Hugh O'Doherty, Rob
Horsman and Mary Hebert and more. The setting in the old mansion on the
Sargent Estate turns the Reserve's Visitor Center into a cozy venue with
steaming hot coffee, tea and homemade desserts. Admission is $10.00,
which includes a WBNERR or CHAMP Homes ceramic mug or $5.00 admission if
you bring your own mug. Doors open at 7:15 P.M. for the 8:00 P.M.
performance. Reservations are recommended (508- 0457-0495 x108) as
seating is limited. Reserved tickets must be picked up by 7:45. The
Reserve Headquarters-Visitor Center is located at 149 Waquoit Highway,
Route 28 in East Falmouth.

Local favorites Rachel and John Nicholas, formerly known as Dreamwork,
have been performing together since 1989. While individually their
voices are soulful and dynamic, it is their harmony singing that is most
powerful. With warmth and humor they share their music, their bond to
each other and their humanity with their listeners.

Hugh O'Doherty has performed in coffeehouse, festival, and concert
venues, plus on radio and TV through out the Northeast, California, and
Prince Edward Island. He was a member of the Greenwich Village
songwriting community, and has recorded on FAST FOLK. He lives in and
sings about the real world, and puts the human condition into
perspective with songs of humor, love, and contemporary topics. His
participation, since 1995, in the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine
Research Reserve Earth Day Coffeehouse Concerts, has lead him to write
songs and learn other writers' songs that address concerns for of our
environment.

Rob Horsman and Mary Hebert have been playing together for four years
and joined the team at CHAMP Homes in the fall. They are both
sustainably minded and excited to be working on the greening of the
CHAMP Campus, as well raising community awareness about caring for our
first home, planet Earth.

The Earth Day Coffee House is sponsored by Citizens for the Protection
of Waquoit Bay and CHAMP Homes and benefits programs of both
organizations. To learn more about these groups, visit their websites
