Buzzards Bay, MA - The Marine Education and Training Program at
Massachusetts Maritime Academy announces the start of its fall 2007 boating
courses. The following schedule will run through October:

Electrical Systems for Diesels
15 Outboard
Engines I
15 & 16 Introduction to
Welding II
16 Outboard
Engine II (Advanced)
22 Understanding
Radar
22 Diesel Engines
October 13 American Red Cross
First Aid/CPR
13 Basic
Fiberglass Techniques
13 & 14, 20 & 21 Structural All-Position
Plate Cert. Lab
20 Diesel Engines
- Cat Teardown
20 Marine
Hydraulic Systems
20 & 21 Introduction to
Welding III
MMA also offers OUPV/100 Ton Master License training beginning in September.
Convenient scheduling options include two-week day classes or part-time
evening classes. USCG exams are taken on site, and career services are
available for students.

The overall mission of the MMA Marine Educational program is to serve the
commercial and recreational fisherman, the boating industry and members of
the community through workshops and seminars. This program provides a
variety of courses at low cost as a result of its support by the MIT Sea
Grant Program.
