[SEMCO] Open Space and Conservation Planning lecture this Thursday

This lecture is part of the Mass. Bays Program South Shore Green 
Communities Speaker Series. Apologies if you receive this multiple times 
(it is cross-posted) and for the late notice if this is the first time 
you have heard of this lecture. We hope to see you there.

October 19, 2006 - Open Space and Conservation Planning: Problems and 
Solutions ($30 fee)

This workshop will cover the problems and solutions that towns and local 
land trusts face when a developer is setting aside open space pursuant 
to Planning Board or ZBA mandates.  Presenters will discuss the 
necessary steps to ensure protection, pitfalls to be avoided, and 
long-term stewardship issues.  We will also explore the range of bylaws 
that Massachusetts towns have implemented to encourage open space 
developments.
