PROVINCETOWN CENTER FOR COASTAL STUDIES


Marine Educators (2-4)

Full-time and Part-time marine educators needed from May through October, 2006. Applicants must have knowledge of the flora and fauna of the Gulf of Maine, particularly knowledge of cetaceans. Duties include interpreting the natural history of the marine ecosystem; data collection, including photo-id documentation; fundraising; and promoting the work and goals of the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies aboard commercially owned and operated whale watching vessels. Additional duties may include coastal ecology and salt marsh interpretation, participation in MassSail marine education programs aboard the 125-ft schooner Spirit of Massachusetts and marine mammal lectures to students grades 3 - college level. Qualified candidates must have lecture and teaching experience and a degree in biology or related field. Previous marine education experience and boat experience preferred.
