The South District Interpretive program of Cape Cod National Seashore is
looking for someone who is interested in a combined position of a canoe
assistant and public contact and fee collection at the Salt Pond Visitor
Center information desk. This is a National Park Service uniformed
position, and the incumbent will spend approximately 40 % of there time at
the visitor center, 40% working with the canoe program and 20% on
miscellaneous projects. The selectee will be a participant in the
interpretive ranger training program and will have opportunities to provide
informal presentations to the public, if interested. This is a paid
position with the Federal Government at $12.95 per hour (if the basic
requirements are met), and the position will be offered either on a 32 or
40 hour per week basis. The key criterion for applicants is that they be a
student (preferably an undergraduate, but 17 and older may apply) and must
be able to provide proof of their enrollment in school in the fall.
