Blinn Hall, Massachusetts Maritime Academy
Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts
The first in a series of three, this workshop is intended to be most
useful to individuals who are raising shellfish -- either for profit or
restoration. The workshop will feature growers from around the country
discussing how they've recognized and dealt with particular predators,
including a comparison of specific predator management techniques.
Additionally, local scientists will contribute their expertise and all
participants will be able to join in an informal, open discussion.
Workshop is free, but pre-registration is required. Attendance is
limited to 50, with preference given to licensed shellfish farmers.
Please contact Bill Burt of Cape Cod Cooperative Extension by February 4
-- (508) 375-6702 or wburt at umext.umass.edu. Lunch and beverages included.
This workshop is generously supported by the Northeastern Regional
Aquaculture Center.

The workshop series is a collaborative effort of the Massachusetts
Coastal Training Program, Woods Hole Sea Grant, Cape Cod Cooperative
