Greetings from the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary --
Just a quick note to keep you updated about a new sanctuary education
program that will be starting soon.
The sanctuary and Cape Cod Museum of Natural History are sponsoring a
13-week course entitled "Ocean Treasure: The Natural and Cultural
Resources of the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary." We have
been awarded 3 graduate credits from Framingham State College
(Continuing Education Program). Participants may register for the
entire course, audit the classes, or attend on a day-by-day basis. Each
evening session (Tuesday nights, 6-9pm) will feature one or two
specialist(s) who will introduce the resource and discuss cutting edge
research in the field (much of it happening right out on Stellwagen
Bank). The first class is Feb. 1. I am attaching a flyer about the
program that was developed by the museum. Please help spread the word
and distribute the document to anyone you feel may be interested in the
course or any individual lecture. Your help is appreciated.
Regards,
Anne
