Subject: Funding Opportunity for Habitat Restoration Projects Date: Thu, 24 Jan 2002 15:09:46 -0500 From: Alison Ward <Alison.Ward@NOAA.GOV> Reply-To: NOAA Coastal Restoration Network <RESTNET-L@listserv.lsu.edu> Organization: NOAA To: RESTNET-L@listserv.lsu.edu Hello Rest Net Participants-
The American Sportfishing Association's FishAmerica Foundation (FAF) and NOAA Community Based Restoration Program are now requesting proposals for the first round of FY 2002 funding. All projects that result in on-the-ground habitat restoration in marine, estuarine and andromous fish habitats are encouraged to apply. Applicants are encouraged to have strong partnerships and cooperation from local community groups and citizens. FAF typically funds small scale grass roots efforts ranging from $5,000 - $30,000 that clearly demonstrate significant benefits to coastal and andromous fisheries resources especially sportfish. Applications must be received at FishAmerica by March 11, 2002.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) and the FAF Application are attached. The RFP and application can also be found on the NOAA Community-Based Restoration website under funding opportunities at:
http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/habitat/restoration/community/index.html
Please visit the website for many other national and regional funding opportunities now open!!
Thank You,
Alison Ward
