    Dear Dr. Boyle,

    I am the chair of the physics department at the United States Naval
    Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.  We are currently conducting a
    search for a new faculty member, and we are particularly interested
    in finding an acoustician to continue our long legacy of this
    discipline at USNA.  The official announcement can be found at

    also includes instructions for how to apply.  In addition, we would
    like to give perspective candidates information about our department
    through the documents that have been attached to this email.  I
    would very much appreciate it if you can share this email with post
    docs and/or graduate students in acoustics who are currently
    searching for a faculty position.  We will begin reviewing packages
