Greetings,

In Sequim and Discovery Bays, Heterosigma is in full bloom with cells too numerous to count.

In Port Susan, Pseudo-nitzschia is blooming, cell counts of over 4 million cells/liter. Shellfish samples from Port Susan analyzed by the Washington State Department of Health show undetectable levels of domoic acid.

The coccolithophore bloom in Hood Canal persists and is stretching into new areas as nutrients are depleted with the lack of rain and
nutrient inputs from the shorelines.
