-SAVING OUR PONDS FILM JUNE 25
The beautiful ponds and waterways of Cape Cod and the Islands, beloved by residents and visitors alike, are increasingly under threat from toxic algae blooms. Our new film series, "Saving Our Ponds," explores the impacts of these blooms on freshwater and brackish bodies around Cape Cod and the Islands, and highlights community-driven initiatives aimed at restoring water quality.

Please join us on Tuesday, June 25, at noon in Redfield Auditorium for a screening of this outreach film series. Hear from some of the films’ participants and learn about ongoing efforts to protect these water bodies and ways you can get involved. A reception will follow in Redfield Lobby.

Bring your first-class forever stamped envelopes with stiffened inserts to Redfield Lobby on Wednesday, June 26 between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to get the pictorial cancellation applied. Be sure to place the stamps to be cancelled in the upper right corner of the envelope as the cancellation is approximately 2.5” long by 1.5” wide. If you are unable to attend the one-day event, the pictorial postmark will be available for an extended period of 30 days by mail order at the Falmouth Post Office. In an outer envelope include the stamped envelopes to be serviced and a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) with sufficient postage for return. - WHOI OCEAN AND CLIMATE SERIES 2024: CHRIS REDDY BOOK TALK JUNE 27

Join us Thursday, June 27 at 5:30 p.m. in Redfield Auditorium for a conversation with WHOI Marine Chemist Chris Reddy on his new book, Science Communication in a Crisis: An Insider's Guide, drawing on Reddy’s decades of experience at the front lines of environmental disasters. The presentation will be followed by reception and book signing. This event is free and open to the public.
