APCC Eco-Audit Program Manager

The Association to Preserve Cape Cod (APCC) is seeking a qualified individual, passionate about native plants and ecologically friendly landscapes, to help establish a new APCC program offering ecological consultations for homeowners. The program is seasonal - April through November; 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

The candidate must be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about plants, green infrastructure, general natural history, and best ecological landscape practices. This is an educational program, and therefore the candidate must enjoy engaging with the public and be able to communicate information effectively.

Minimum Education Requirements: Undergraduate degree in environmental science/sustainability/landscape design or equivalent education and demonstrated experience.

The eco-consultant program team will consist of one or two summer interns and the position will be the team leader. The position will be responsible for, but not limited to, being the point of contact for the program, scheduling of appointments with clients, traveling to and conducting the on-site with the homeowner, mentor summer interns, reviewing and/or preparing eco-audit reports. Position reports to the Assistant Director for Education.

Candidate must have their own dependable vehicle for transportation to appointments Cape-wide. Position requires moderate mobility, and the ability to traverse uneven terrain as may be necessary to conduct the site inspection on properties of others.

Mileage will be paid per IRS rate for travel to appointments.

Pay rate: $25/hour, no benefits.
