Ecological Land Care Summer Intern
APCC is offering paid seasonal internships, June through August 2023. The Ecological Land Care Summer Intern will be part of a team with APCC's Eco-Audit Program that conducts property assessments for homeowners who want to know more about how they can make their properties eco-friendly. Intern will also help with maintaining the native landscape and edible garden at APCC's headquarters, and assist with other related projects.
Candidates will be considered who are undergraduate students and/or have an educational background and interest in sustainability, landscape design, or environmental studies or the equivalent. Importantly, the candidate must have a passion for learning and understanding the natural environment.
Preferred skills and Qualifications
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team
* Gardening, plant identification, and natural history knowledge
Candidate must have own dependable transportation to and from appointments Cape-wide. Physical requirements include, but not limited to, bending, kneeling, ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Work week is 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30-4:40 p.m.
Pay rate: $20/hour and mileage per IRS rate
