Barnstable Clean Water Coalition (BCWC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to restore and preserve clean water throughout Barnstable. The majority of BCWC's focus is on alternative nutrient reduction strategies to clean our local rivers, ponds, lakes, and bays. In addition, BCWC utilizes four core components to accomplish its mission: educate, monitor, mitigate, and advocate.

BCWC is currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent Field Operations Manager position. The Field Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating boat operations, maintaining monitoring and field equipment, managing field sampling and monitoring programs, and supervising and training seasonal staff and interns.

Duties Include, but not limited to:
*             Oversight and operation of three motorboats, trailers, and associated equipment
*             Maintain field, sampling and monitoring equipment and related supplies
*             Coordinate management of Dead Neck Sampson's Island in conjunction with MA Audubon Coastal Waterbird Program staff
*             Coordinate and conduct marine invasive species and river herring monitoring programs
*             Manage demonstration oyster upweller project
*             Assist with other projects as needed
*             Collaborate with federal, state and town agencies, along with other non-profits

Qualifications:
*             Bachelor's degree in marine, environmental or natural sciences preferred, or equivalent field and professional experience
*             Experience operating and trailering small boats (< 30 feet)
*             OUPV Captain's License preferred or ability to work towards obtaining license
*             Experience hiring and managing staff and interns
*             Experience with project management
*             Demonstrated organizational skills
*             Knowledge of New England aquatic and coastal habitats and ecology
*             Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
*             Comfortable working in all field conditions, including on the water and variable terrain
*             Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds
