Clean Water Wednesdays at Cape Cod Beer (1336 Phinney's Lane, Hyannis) with Barnstable Clean Water Coalition
Wednesday, February 19th at 6:30pm: RIVER HERRING
Join speakers Abigail Archer (Fisheries and Aquaculture Specialist, Woods Hole Sea Grant/Cape Cod Cooperative Extension Marine Program) and Betsy Gladfelter (Conservation Commissioner, Town of Falmouth) for an evening focused on River Herring. Abigail will talk about the life cycle and population status of river herring along with a history of fish ladders and herring runs on Cape Cod. Betsy will provide an overview of the restoration of the Coonamessett River in Falmouth and the restoration's positive impact on wetland habitats and improved fish passage for river herring, brook trout and American eels.
