Science at Our Shores
On Friday, March 6, from 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., in Redfield Auditorium, researchers funded with Sea Grant core funding will give a series of brief presentations describing their efforts to investigate pressing environmental and coastal issues at our shores. PIs funded in 2018 will discuss the results of their research into topics such as the impacts of cranberry agriculture on the watershed, the ecosystem benefits of living shorelines, shoreline resilience, and HABs. Newly funded PIs will describe the projects just getting underway on microplastics, river herring, white sharks, and seals. The event is free and open to all. Registration is not necessary but would help us anticipate numbers of attendees. A flyer is attached — feel free to post and share. For more information and registration, see https://seagrant.whoi.edu/science-at-our-shores/ <https://seagrant.whoi.edu/science-at-our-shores/>.
