Would you like to be part of an effort to improve coastal resiliency on Cape Cod?

This fall, Woods Hole Sea Grant and the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension will conduct a number of focus groups with stakeholders to learn about how they use (or might use) the Massachusetts Homeowner’s Handbook to Prepare for Coastal Hazards <https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fseagrant.whoi.edu%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F106%2F2015%2F02%2FHomeowner-Guide.pdf&data=02%7C01%7Cshannon.hulst%40barnstablecounty.org%7C0feea8c79da74d4549a808d73b9a042f%7C84475217b42348dbb766ed4bbbea74f1%7C0%7C1%7C637043405004594187&sdata=2mPVhCxm%2B6WojS5jS0QfWW0IXWSmJEDXIX58XzW02Vg%3D&reserved=0> as well as receive feedback on its content, organization, and design. The focus groups will inform an update of this popular Handbook and its final distribution.

As part of these focus groups, we would like to meet with three or four homeowners to provide input on the handbook. The focus group should take no more than one hour.

If you’re willing to participate in a real estate professionals focus group or want to know more, please contact Stephanie Murphy, samurphy at whoi.edu <mailto:samurphy at whoi.edu> by Sept. 25. She will work with volunteers to find a mutually convenient time to meet in early/mid-October.

This is a great opportunity to improve the usefulness of the handbook for everyone and expand outreach on coastal resiliency. Thanks for your help!
