THORNTON BURGESS NATURE PROGRAM FOR ADULTS

The Thornton Burgess Nature Program for adults explores a variety of
naturalist topics on the first Saturday of the month through December from
10am-12pm. Just as Burgess's interests were as broad and diverse as the
wildlife he chronicled in his stories, so does this program explore a wide
range of natural history topics. Butterflies are the focus on June 8 as
Marjorie Williams uses the Butterfly House and Pollinator Path at the Cape
Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster to start things off. Then there
will be a presentation in the auditorium about pollination followed by a
"Walk and Talk" of various gardens around the museum, focusing on some of
the best butterfly and pollinating plants and how they can be used in
various garden settings. We will meet at the outside of the main entrance
of the museum on Route 6A in Brewster. Fee is $20, and advance registration
is required online at www.thorntonburgess.org
