ANNUAL STRAWBERRY DAY IN THE JAM KITCHEN

Strawberry season has arrived, and the Green Briar Nature Center and Jam
Kitchen celebrates this luscious berry during its Annual Strawberry Day on
Saturday, June 8.  From 11am to 4pm (or until supplies last), visitors are
served a fresh strawberry dessert in the historic Jam Kitchen for a $5 fee.
See a demonstration of old-fashioned strawberry jam making as it has been
done here for over 100 years. Select from Green Briar jams in the Mercantile
along with a variety of unique gift ideas.  View the exhibit on the life and
works of children's author Thornton W. Burgess.  Browse among the used book
sale.  Visit the nature center's resident animals, and stroll the paths of
the wildflower garden and grounds around the Smiling Pool. Green Briar is
located at 6 Discovery Hill Road, just off Route 6A in East Sandwich.  For
