Dear Friends and Colleagues:

Heads UP!!

We are pleased to announce the release on December 22, 2018 of the 
"FY2019-FY2020 NOAA New England Bay Watershed Education and Training 
(New England B-WET) Program Federal  Funding Opportunity" (FFO).  
Applications under this FFO, available at https://www.grants.gov , will 
_close at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019._

Unfortunately, the FFO opened on the first day of the five-week, partial 
government furlough, so we in the New England B-WET Program Office are 
scrambling to get caught up on implementation of this grant 
opportunity.  Also unfortunately, we cannot extend the application 
timeline because of fiscal uncertainties, including a potential second 
shutdown when the current Continuing  Resolutions expires this Friday, 
February 15, 2019.

We urge you to access and read the FFO completely.  We worked hard to 
use "plain language" and have avoided "government speak" to fullest 
extent possible! We've also limited the solicitation to two priorities, 
designed to fit with the educational resources and needs of New England.
