Please see below for an upcoming series of events  to be held here in Boston by The Explorers Club.  In particular I want to point out the “Next Gen Explorers Expo” which is free to anyone under 35.  Note that among the presenters are organizations that provide funding for science that incorporates aspects of field exploration.

Join us for a free day of events celebrating science and the future of exploration!

On Saturday, October 27th The Explorers Club is hosting a day of events at MIT where attendees will hear from a stellar slate of speakers, network with explorers, and meet representatives from institutions offering over $200,000 in grant funding, programs, and field opportunities.

Join us Saturday morning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to hear stories from our incredible awardees: deep sea biologist Peter Girguis, aerospace biomedical engineer and space suit designer Dava Newman, groundbreaking Egyptologist Sarah Parcak, Principal Investigator of NASA's New Horizons Pluto mission Alan Stern, and Nobel prize-winning physicist Rainer Weiss.

Who: Open to all guests and the general public

NEXT GEN EXPLORERS EXPO: Grants, programs, and field opportunities (Attendees 35 and Younger) - Free

Meet representatives from exploration grant-making institutions including Rolex, The Explorers Club, and Adventure Canada. Learn about undergraduate and graduate science programs, as well as field opportunities to get out and explore. Network with scientists, mentors, and next gen explorers with similar interests and passions.

Where: M.I.T. Bush Building, Lobby (Building 13)

Who: Secondary, undergraduate, and graduate students from the greater Boston/New England area.
