ADULT NATURE CLUB STUDIES BUTTERFLIES
The monthly in-depth natural history course for adults offered by the
Thornton W. Burgess Society continues on the first Saturday of each month
from 9am to noon. On July 7 participants will be visiting the Butterfly
House and Pollinator Path at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in
Brewster. Led by Marjorie Williams, the program will include a presentation
about pollination with questions and answers in the museum auditorium
followed by a walk and talk of various gardens around the museum. This will
focus on plants that make for some of the best butterfly and pollination
plants and how they can be used in various garden settings, large and small.
Following months include a Beach Walk exploring the tide pools at Town Neck
Beach on August 4; Birding at the East Sandwich Game Farm on September 8;
Wild Food focusing on foraging basics on October 6; Insects in Winter on
November 3; Migrant Winter Birds on December 1. These programs are open to
adults and teens ages 16 and up. Register separately for each month at $30.
