ANNUAL BLUEBERRY DAY AT GREEN BRIAR

The 16th Annual Blueberry Day takes place at the Green Briar Nature Center
and Jam Kitchen on Saturday, August 4, during the height of the blueberry
season . . . a perfect time to visit this unique spot on Olde Cape Cod.  

 

During the day you can.

*         view the gallery exhibit covering the life and works of the
prolific children's author and naturalist, Thornton W. Burgess;

*         browse among the used book sale and look for the Queen Bee in the
indoor bee hive;  

*         stroll the paths of the award-winning Wildflower Garden and enjoy
nature along the shores of the Smiling Pool;  

*         enjoy a special blueberry dessert served in the historic Jam
Kitchen along with a demonstration of old-fashioned blueberry jam making
from 11am to 4pm. ($5 fee per person;

*         participate in the family oriented Cardboard & Tape Craft Program
in Green Briar's "Den" anytime between 11am and 2pm ($2 fee per person); 

*         hear Animal Story Time featuring Peter Rabbit and friends at 2pm
($2 fee per person).

 

A combination ticket for all of the above is $7 per person.
