Featured Co-Presenters: Kristina Hill and Anamarija Frankic
Holding a PhD from Harvard, Kristina is an Associate Professor at the University
 of California, Berkeley. She is currently working on adaptation to sea level rise
in the San Francisco Bay area, based on insights in ecology, specifically oysters.
She will be presenting a lunch-time talk with Anamarija Frankic, Ms. Hill has co-edited
and authored the book
Ecology and Design (Island Press, 2002), and writes in scientific and professional
journals. She has been a Fellow of the Institute for Urban Design, and a Fulbright
Scholar. Her most recent professional project was the Water Management Strategy 
for Greater New Orleans. In 2015, Hill has served as the guest editor for the 100th
anniversary issue of Frontiers in Ecology and Environment, for the Ecological Society
of America.
Anamarija teaches at UMass Boston and is the founder of Green Harbors Project, a
 Biomimicry Educational Fellow, a Fulbright Scholar at the Univ. of Zadar, and a

 Her background in biology, ecology, limnology and marine science guided her interdisciplinary
work in coastal and watershed ecosystem stewardship, conservation and restoration.
Both Kristina and Anamarija will be holding an informal "Oyster Café" for discussing
and imagining new realms of possibilities through harnessing the benefits of oysters
for coastal protection, sea level rise and ocean acidification.
