[SEMCO] Student Research Grant Opportunity From Marjot Foundation.

Announcement of Request for Student Proposals for Marjot Foundation grants. Due date April 1, 2015.

The goal of the Marjot Foundation is to fund independent field and/or laboratory research projects on environmental issues by high school students in grades 9-11. Students must write an independent proposal detailing their research goals to be carried out over a one-year period.

Total funds available are $5000 per award and include support for the student(s), the mentor, supplies for the project and funds for the student's host school. or laboratory. For 2015-2016, students in grades 9-11 from high schools in New England and New York are welcome to apply. STUDENTS must write proposals on environmentally related research they will carry out over a one year period. Students must have a mentor who will write a letter stating he/she will help the students with their research. Students will be required to participate in a science fair at the conclusion of their research.
