[SEMCO] FINomenal Fest in Chatham, Saturday June 13

Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy<http://www.atlanticwhiteshark.org/#welcome> are teaming up to present FINomenal Fest on Saturday, June 13 from 11 am until 4 pm in Chatham.
The day will be packed with free shark-focused activities for kids and families including games, crafts, and live music. This is a great opportunity to learn more about New England shark species, sustainable shark fisheries and much more. Proceeds will benefit Wellfleet Bay's day camp scholarships for Chatham school children and the AWSC's shark research.
Schedule of Events
Orpheum Theater: Great White Shark Movie - 10:30-11:15 am
See the film, Great White Shark, which examines the shark's place in our imaginations and fears and the importance of its role as top predator in the marine food chain. $6 per person.
Kate Gould Park: Shark Family Fun Area - 11 am-4 pm
Play shark games, get your face painted, watch shark tooth jewelry being made, get facts about sharks and what's being learned about them. In the early afternoon enjoy live music with the bluegrass band, Crabgrass! Free
Morris Island: Fins Up Nature Hike  - 11 am-4 pm
Follow the shark fin signs for a self-guided hike on the Morris Island Trail to learn about the sharks that inhabit the Cape's waters and the exciting research going on offshore. Free
Orpheum Theater: Cooking Up Chatham Talk - 11:30 am-12 pm
A member of the Cape Cod Fisherman's Alliance will discuss the dogfish (a species of shark) and its growing importance in making sustainable seafood choices. Following the talk, VERS will serve dogfish tacos!
Chatham Bars Inn: Shark Tales Benefit Lecture - 7-9 pm
Shark researcher Dr. Greg Skomal and filmmaker Joe Romeiro will show stunning underwater photography and discuss groundbreaking shark science. All proceeds from this event will benefit shark research. $25 per person.
