Details: This will be a lengthy, 4+ hour walk from the Nauset Beach parking lot 
to Pochet Island. The walk is approximately 5 miles round trip, often through loose
sand and changing topography. If you plan to join us, you should pack a lunch and
plenty of water, and bring an extra pair of socks in case your feet get wet while
reaching the island from Nauset Beach.

Annual giving is the major source of our operating revenue. It allows us not only
to pay for the day-to-day operations of the Trust, but also to do critical outreach
to the larger community-in addition to our core mission of setting aside and managing
priceless lands.

This coming year, OCT will play a key part in efforts to save Boland Pond, one of
the few ponds in the center of town, where we own and maintain property.  Programs
like these reinforce the urgency we all feel about saving valuable habitats and 
the overarching importance of preserving open space for future generations.
