WHOI Hosts Interactive Open House for the Public
How fast does an avalanche move? How does a bathtub vortex form? What 
happens to waves when they break? WHOI invites the public to hands-on 
demonstrations, videos, and poster displays of fluid mechanics and 
oceanography, with something for every age on Saturday, May 10, from 10 
to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., in the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics laboratory, 
located in the Rinehart Coastal Research Center on WHOI's Quissett
