  As part of our Nature Knowledge summer series, 
the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History presents 
naturalist, photographer and children's author, 
Virginia Sands. During her long career as an 
elementary school teacher she has continued to 
look for ways to stimulate children’s curiosity 
and imagination. On July 1 and August 20 at 
11:30am Ms. Sands will read from her children’s 
book, “A Tree with a Knee” which asks children to 
walk down a magical path; discover a green mitten 
leaf hanging on a twig; find a clamshell living 
on a tree trunk and watch troops of turkeys 
climbing on a log. Great for ages 4 – 9.

The program is free with Museum admission.
