ENVIRONMENT AND CANCER PREVENTION

Environmentalists on Cape Cod are concerned about chemical exposures and cancer. On Monday night, there will be a community program about cancer prevention. Richard Clapp, the first director of Massachusetts' state cancer registry, will be the main speaker.
Dr. Clapp, who is an epidemiologist, has been involved with cancer studies on Cape Cod for over twenty years.

The June 23rd program is sponsored by GreenCAPE, with the support of the Sierra Club's Cape Cod and Islands Group, and other organizations. Information about hazardous chemicals and cancer prevention will be available.

The program will take place at the Unitarian Universalist church, 840 Sandwich Road, in East Falmouth. The program will begin at 6:00 pm. All people are invited. The program will be free. The program is easily accessible for people with disabilities.
