Draft Management Plan

The public is invited The Waquoit Bay Reserve to a presentation and overview of the five year draft Management Plan's contents and recommendations.  The purpose of the Waquoit Bay Reserve's Management Play lays out the strategy for meeting the Reserve's mission over the next five years.  The Mission of the Waquoit Bay Reserve is to promote science-based decision-making that leads to healthy coastal ecosystems. This plan will replace the plan approved in 2006. It outlines the administrative structure; the research & monitoring, education, training, and stewardship goals of the reserve.



The full draft plan is available for viewing on the Reserve's website at www.waquoitbayreserve.org<http://www.waquoitbayreserve.org> and, in hard copy, at the Reserve's Visitor Center at 131 Waquoit Highway, Waquoit, MA.


Written comments on the draft plan will be taken until July 31, 2014. Comments can be submitted via email to Waquoit.bay at state.ma.us<mailto:Waquoit.bay at state.ma.us> or submitted by mail to: Waquoit Bay Reserve, P.O. Box 3092, Waquoit, MA 02536.
