The Department of Conservation & Recreation, Division of MassParks, is seeking applicants for the position of seasonal Park Interpreter at Scusset Beach State Reservation located on Cape Cod Bay at the east end of the Cape Cod Canal. I am hoping you may be able to share this job posting with your network of contacts.

The position runs from June 8 through September 1.  The Park Interpreter will work at Scusset Beach State Reservation sharing the stories of the natural and cultural history of the area  through formal interpretive programs and informal visitor contacts.  Some of the formal programs conducted by the Park Interpreter are "Creature Feature" (a table-top interpretive display on the beach about the animals visitors may encounter), "Beach Exploration" (a weekly program focusing on coastal ecology and/or geology), "Beach Night Hike" (exploring the beach in the dark!), and "Sagamore Hill Hike (a history walk to Sagamore Hill, co-lead with an Army Corps of Engineers Ranger). The Park Interpreter also organizes and staffs the Nature Center.  There may be an occasional opportunity to interpret at satellite facilities.
