**Educator Professional Development Workshop*

Looking for a unique and meaningful way to teach oceanography while 
connecting
students to real-science tools and applications of technology? Build an 
ocean-going
drifter and deploy it. Your students will be amazed as they watch and 
learn in real-time
how surface ocean currents circulate in your area. Professional development
around using ocean observing data and tools in the classroom will be 
included.

WHEN: Saturday, May 10, 2014 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

WHERE: Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, MA

WHO: Teachers and informal science educators
