On Sunday, June 2 at 2 pm the Friends of the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History present a lecture in the Gardening for Life: Cape Cod Native Plants series – Butterflies, Butterflies, Butterflies with naturalist Alison Robb.

The fee is $5.

What do butterflies really need to thrive in your back yard? Join Alison Robb to find out which butterflies can be found on the Cape , their habitats and life cycles, and what we can plant in our gardens to provide them with nectar, food and shelter.

Alison is the founder of Nature’s Circle under whose auspices she leads bird, botany, coastal dynamics, and butterfly walks. She has led butterfly counts all over the Cape for the North American Butterfly Association for the last ten years. She urges all attendees to participate in the Brewster count beginning at 9:00 am at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History on Saturday, July 27, 2013. This day long count throughout the Brewster area is a marvelous opportunity to learn about butterflies and appreciate their beauty and life ways.
