Summer 2013 Education Programs at the National Marine Life Center

OPEN through Labor Day, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Free general admission; programs extra.

LITTLE FLIPPERS CLUB

Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays at 11 a.m.

Join us for a marine animal themed story time and craft project! All ages
welcome, and most suitable for children ages 3-8. Children must be
supervised. 45-60 min.

COST:  $5/child/program (members $3).

WEEKLY THEMES: 

Week of July 14: Sharks, Rays, & Skates

Week of July 28: Dolphins, Porpoises, & Whales

Week of Aug. 4: Sharks, Rays, & Skates

Week of Aug. 11: Mermaid & Pirate Party (costumes optional!)

Week of Aug. 18: Sea Turtles

Week of Aug. 25: Seals, Sea Lions & Walrus

 

MARINE ANIMAL MEDICAL MYSTERY

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 11 a.m.

What does it take to be a marine animal care technician? What are some of
the questions and "mysteries" involved in wildlife rehabilitation? Each week
we'll learn how to care for a different animal (same themes as above). Best
suited for ages 8-14. Please note that there will be no exposure to live
animals during this program. Program lasts approximately 60 min.

COST:  $5/child/program (members $3).

 

PATIENT UPDATE

Mondays thru Saturdays, 2 p.m. (or by request)

Learn more about the patients currently in our care. Please note that, for
the safety of our patients and our guests, this program does not include
direct viewing of our marine animal patients. Program lasts approximately
15-20 minutes. FREE.
