2013 Decision Makers Workshops:
Solutions to Nitrogen Pollution
The 2013 Decision Makers Workshop series offers practical solutions to the
biggest problem facing Buzzards Bay and our coastal waters: nitrogen
pollution. These *free *workshops are a resource for individuals who make
decisions that affect the health of Buzzards Bay and the local environment.

*Overview of 2013 Decision Makers Workshop series *
Decision makers can attend one or all of the following workshops:
*March 6: Technology Solutions: *How to reduce
nitrogen from wastewater at all scales: on-site treatment, cluster or
neighborhood facilities, and municipal wastewater plants.
*March 20: Watershed Solutions: *How to reduce
nitrogen from landscape sources, including stormwater, lawns and
agriculture.
*April 3: Planning and Funding Solutions: *How to
make nitrogen reduction happen with solutions for planning, funding, and
building consensus.
*Who should attend? *
Decision Makers Workshops are open to anybody who wishes to attend. They
are particularly beneficial for:
Town boards (selectmen, health, conservation
commission, harbor/ marine/clean water)
Town staff (wastewater facility staff, town
planners, conservation agents, health agents)
State or regional planning or environmental staff
Private business professionals (engineers, septic
installers, farmers, landscapers)
Residents and community organizations
