On Sunday, November 11 at 2 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History will
present A History of Chowder - Four Centuries of a New England Meal with
Robert S Cox, PhD.

Members/Free. Non-members/$5. Reservations are required. Please call
508-896-3867, Ext. 133.

As the subject of the first program in a new Museum series on local food, A
History of Chowder, written by Dr. Cox and Jacob Walker, follows the
cultural beginnings of this iconic dish to its identity and anatomy - from
salt pork to potatoes, fish and clams. The development of chowder through
human history is as fascinating as the varieties of the meal itself.

A feast of a program for all chowder lovers, including chowder tasting by
George's Fish Market.
