The Red Cross/Red Crescent Climate Centre has been working with academic 
partners through an innovative approach: engaging players in 
participatory games simulating complex challenges involving coastal area 
disaster management. From tropical cyclones to sea level rise, this 
intensely interactive session allows participants to experience the 
richness of serious, yet fun ways *to understand and address the 
humanitarian consequences of climate change and extreme weather events.*
