Fishermen's Fund Update

The first initiative of the Fishermen's Fund  [http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001eMIkkCpmBpXA8wJS3qb2HvaZyv6oNhkoyjyRtCw6PBhG8iACDWVsuWTkCasea5728l2k6nNm2iSoPJ_EOvftOVcwV9j-ivjotrZuFWl5leO3j6OGyHZ1iygAJmPVVU4YXBx9nOJamAFysN4cAFYs0A==]is
to engage in the seal issues that have been making front page news in our community.
We brought on researcher and biologist Betty Lentell who previously worked with 
the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and holds a position with the
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as guest investigator under Dr. Michael Moore.
Betty will work with scientists and researchers as part of the Northwest Atlantic
Seal Research Consortium to collaborate on a population assessment and other projects,
such as gathering data concerning seals, assessing ecosystem impacts and addressing
issues of importance to fishermen and the greater Cape Cod community.

Holiday Potluck

Time seems to get busier and busier around the holidays. We value our gatherings
 with our community members and thought we'd try something new this year and change

by and then make time together to spend an evening sharing a meal and catching up.

Reminder: The next Meet the Fleetis happening on Tuesday, December 4 at 5:30 p.m.and
will feature bay scallopsand fishermen Glen Nickerson, Jennifer Kane, and Ken and
Andy Tolley. Executive Chef Anthony Cole of the Chatham Bars Inn will demonstrate
