On Thursday, June 14 at 7 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History will
present Brian Sharp, Stranding Coordinator, Marine Mammal Rescue and
Research, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), speaking on Watching
the Tides: The dolphin mass strandings of winter 2012. $5/Member,
$7/Non-Member.

This past winter some 200 common dolphins stranded along the bay shores of
Cape Cod, from Barnstable to Wellfleet, an event that captured national
interest and was widely publicized throughout the United States and abroad.
The sheer numbers were historic and the intensity of the rescue taxed even
the expert abilities and skills of the IFAW MMRR responders, both staff and
volunteers.

Brian Sharp's extensive experience in marine animal rescue - with the
Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies and IFAW - covers over 40 great
whale and 35 endangered sea turtle disentanglements, as well as 15 manatee
and numerous seal rescues.

Don't miss this very special power point presentation on this phenomenal
stranding occurrence on Cape Cod from a leader of the rescue team that
worked tirelessly to save these handsome and intelligent marine mammals.
