NEW BEDFORD, MA (March 26, 2012) --- The speaker series *Girls

Explorium welcomes Kate Clopeck, Executive Director and Co-Founder of
Community Water Solutions.
Ms. Clopeck holds a Bachelor's in Science from the University of
Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science, where she wrote her
thesis on the implementation of household water treatment and safe
storage technologies in the developing world.
Ms. Clopeck originally planned to work in the Aerospace industry, having
attained her degree in Aerospace Engineering and Engineering

of water treatment technologies in Northern Region Ghana. Ms. Clopeck
subsequently co-founded Community Water Solutions, a non-for-profit
social enterprise that partners with rural communities in developing
countries to establish sustainable water treatment businesses. These
businesses are owned and operated by the communities they serve, and use
simple, affordable technologies to enable the treatment, distribution,
and storage of clean, safe drinking water.Over the past seven years, Ms.
