Mad Science - Fire & Ice Show

The Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve's Evenings on the Bluff Series continues with Mad Science Fire and Ice Show on Tuesday, July 17 at 6:30PM overlooking beautiful Waquoit Bay.

Adults and children alike can interact directly with the Mad Scientists and be amazed as they are "edutained"! The Mad Science Mission aims to spark the imagination and curiosity of children everywhere by providing them with fun, entertaining, and educational activities which instill a clear understanding of what science really is and how it affects the world around them.
Mad Science has provided programming to more than 150,000 children in more than 600 different schools and organizations throughout Cape Cod, Southeastern Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

Each Tuesday evening in July a different program will be offered. The Reserve's headquarters is located at 149 Waquoit Highway (Route 28) on the bluff overlooking Waquoit Bay. Visitors are encouraged to bring a chair, beach blanket and a picnic dinner and enjoy the view. There is no charge for the program, donations are welcome. In the event of rain, the program will be held under our tent or indoors.

This program is co-sponsored by the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation. Assistive listening devices are available for all of our programs. We will also be happy to request a sign language interpreter with advance notice.  For additional information please call 508-457-0495 x108.
