Wednesday- February 22, 2012
9:30 - 11:00AM                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Winter Greens Walk - All Ages                                                                                                                                                                                                            Meet at South Cape Beach -Mashpee Town Parking Lot, Great Oak Road
Discover colorful plants in the winter woods and learn why some trees lose their leaves while others stay green all year long. Find out which species of conifers drops all its needles at once and how native pines survive harsh conditions like fire and ice. We'll end the hike with a taste of wintergreen tea.

Thursday - February 23, 2012 - 9:30AM to 11:00AM
Beach Combers Bingo - All ages                                                                                                                                                                                                      Meet at Reserve Visitor Center, 149 Waquoit Highway, (RT 28)
Through interactive games we'll identify egg cases, shells, feathers and more. Then we'll take a seaside stroll to find natural treasures along the way.

Friday- February 24, 2012 - 9:30 AM to 11:00AM
Winter Survival - Best for ages 8 to 12                                                                                                                                 Meet at Reserve Visitor Center, 149 Waquoit Highway, (RT. 28)
Discover the layers of life in Cape Cod woodlands as we explore Reserve trails and learn how humans and wildlife stay warm in the coldest weather. We'll experiment with insulating materials and find secret hideaways to test if our "jello critters" can survive.
