LONG HOT SUMMER

The summer of 2012 has been the long hot summer...  Droughts, massive power failures, heat waves, and extreme weather events in most regions in the United States.   James Hansen and some of the NOAA people associate the problems with climate change - well, maybe they're right.

What are we supposed to do in coastal communities?

The Unitarian Universalist church in Falmouth, Massachusetts, will devote its Sunday service (August 26)  to the "here and now" problems of extreme weather....  Lots of Woody Guthrie songs to focus attention on real people and the problems of injustice in a changing environment....   The Sunday service starts at 9:30 am.    The church is located at 840 Sandwich Road in East Falmouth....   It's a multicultural and multifaith congregation and everybody will be welcomed.
